Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does your online service do?

We help you prepare and certify legal documents that are commonly required for overseas transactions and official processes. This includes country-specific Powers of Attorney (for Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Turkey), UK vital certificates (birth, death, marriage, certificate of no impediment), ACRO and DBS checks, and ID certification. The process is completed online, with any notarisation or certification carried out by regulated professionals.

Is an online service really accepted by authorities and lawyers?

Yes – what matters is that the documents are correctly prepared and certified by the right regulated professional, not whether you booked the service online or in person. We prepare documentation in line with the requirements of the receiving country or organisation. However, we always recommend you confirm any specific requirements with your lawyer, embassy or authority before placing an order, especially for complex or unusual cases.

Do I need to visit an office in person?

No. Our service is designed to be fully remote. You upload your documents securely, complete ID checks online and we arrange any necessary notarisation or certification and delivery. In some cases, you may need to sign a document and return it by post or courier, but you do not have to attend a physical appointment.

How do you protect my personal data?

We use encrypted connections for all uploads and transfers, and store your documents in secure, access-controlled systems. We work in line with UK data protection rules and only retain your information for as long as it is needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Your data is never sold to third parties.

How long does the process take?

Timeframes depend on the service:

 • Powers of Attorney: usually prepared within a few working days once we have all required information and ID.
 • Certificates (birth, death, marriage, CNI): timing depends on the issuing authority, but we will give you an estimate before you pay.
 • ACRO/DBS and ID certification: typically processed faster, subject to the relevant authority’s own timelines.

If you have a deadline (property completion, court date, travel, etc.), please tell us when you place your order so we can advise realistically.

What ID do I need to provide?

Normally we will ask for:

 • A valid passport or photo driving licence, and
 • Proof of address (for example a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months).

In some cases, the receiving authority may require specific documents; we’ll confirm this with you during the onboarding process.

Can you help me if I’m currently living abroad?

Yes. Many of our clients live outside the UK but need UK documents or Powers of Attorney for European countries or Turkey. As long as we can verify your identity and receive the information we need, we can usually handle your case remotely.

What happens if I’m not sure which service I need?

If you’re unsure which Power of Attorney or certificate is required, contact us before placing an order. Share a brief description of your situation (for example “buying an apartment in Spain” or “getting married in Italy”) and any instructions you’ve received from your lawyer, notary, or the relevant authority. We’ll point you to the most suitable product or suggest a tailored option if needed.

How will I receive my documents?

You will receive:

 • A secure digital copy (PDF) of your completed document by email, and
 • Where an original is required, we arrange postage or courier delivery to your chosen address, with tracking where available.

We’ll explain the options and any additional delivery charges before you confirm.

Are you regulated and insured?

Yes. All notarial and certification work is carried out by appropriately regulated professionals, and the service is covered by professional indemnity insurance. This gives you the same protection you would expect from a traditional in-person provider, with the added convenience of an online platform.
